Kids Experiments - Solubility in water

Kids Experiments - Solubility in water
  1. Half-fill a glass tumbler with water.
  2. Add a teaspoonful of sugar to it, and stir the water.
  3. What happens to the sugar?
  4. Why does it appear?
We say that sugar has dissolved in water. Actually, water causes all molecules in a solid piece of sugar to
break apart. The individual molecules, when separated, are so small that we cannot see them. We say that sugar is SOLUBLE in water.
